Description
Bushy Bluestem grows from seeping caliche road cuts in west Texas to soggy bogs in Louisiana and beyond. Occasionally seen in standing water, it is great for restoring wet areas near ponds, dams, ditches, arroyos and streambanks. Full sun preferred, but may tolerate partial shade. Bushy seedheads surely make a comfy nesting material for many little creatures, both bird and mammal. The actual seed grains are microscopic.
