Description
Looks almost identical to Black-Eyed Susan and is, in fact, in the same genus. This giant of the coneflowers grows to 6 feet tall and has no equal for stunning, eye-catching appeal. It grows well in moist, sandy soils especially in northeast and southeast Texas. It is a larval food source for the American Painted Lady butterfly and nectar source for the Large Wood Nymph butterfly.
