Prairie Paintbrush, or Downy Paintbrush, is one of the more eye-catching plants native to Texas. Unlike Indian Paintbrush, this one is a perennial. The colors range from pure white to wine, and can include all the shades of pink and salmon that you can imagine! They aren't what you see on the sides of the highways in Texas, as they are a little more difficult to establish. They are, however, well worth the effort! Once you have them established in a spot they enjoy, they will be with you forever.
