Description
This very drought tolerant native grass is found from central Texas to New Mexico and Arizona. Excellent short grass (4 to 10 inches) for dry soils that are difficult to vegetate. This warm season perennial grass performs best in full sun, and is a great source of forage for wildlife and livestock.
Curly Mesquite can grow on as little as 5 inches of rainfall and can be used in a combination with other short growing native grasses such as buffalo grass and blue grama (Thunder Turf) for a fantastic low maintenance turf grass in arid areas of the US.
Available in mixes & d-paks only.
