Also called Hop Tree as bitter-zesty-citric flavor fruit has been reported to be used as a substitute for hops in beer making. Attractive ornamental small tree or shrub also provides food and shelter for birds and mammals. It is a host plant for Eastern Tiger and Giant Swallowtail.
